There are a variety of random input freezes and ignored button presses
throughout apps, but none is reliably reproducible in this way this glitch
is. This is the only example that I can make happen every single time I try.

I also have this. It's more noticeable when i am typing something fast. When the freeze occurs, it takes a while to start registering my touch input again.

I have the same problem since I updated my Oppo Find X5 pro to Android 13 on friday. While steering / drifting I can't throw items. It seems multitouch is not working. But multitouch test App works with 10 fingers

The Problem only occurs in landscape mode

I have just updated my Pixel 7 to the latest December update, and am now experiencing this issue. I was not observing it before the latest security update. Happy to share more debugging information if needed.

I also have this issue after the december update on my pixel 6 pro. Happens in Mario kart tour when the phone is in landscape. Cant throw items cause the right side of the screen is un responsive. I reinstalled the game and the issue persists. Was working fine before the december update.

I am also experiencing this same issue on my pixel 7. Controls worked just fine in Mario kart tour before the December update, but now cannot use items (by tapping the right side of the screen) while drifting (holding down the left side of the screen) in landscape mode. I have to lift my finger off the left side of the screen in order for taps on the right side to register.

Same issue here on Mario Kart Tour. It's like multitouch input doesn't work in the game. Worked fine before the December update on my Pixel 6 pro.

The issue has been fixed and it will be available in a future release.

Curious when this fix will be rolled out - I am having the exact same issue with my Pixel 7.
tu...@gmail.com <tu...@gmail.com> #16
Anyone know if this fix is in the new QPR2 beta? I'd be willing to go to it if I had some confirmation.

Same issue with my Pixel 7. Game's miserable to play

For me this issue occurs since release of the Holiday Tour on Dec 14, 2022.
I am using landscape mode with the option for steering on the right and item throwing on the left half of the screen.
My phone is a Google Pixel 4a.

Fixed when ?
I just updated my Pixel 6 Pro to January's update and it's not.
Google broke it last month, I can't use my phone properly since a month, if it's fixed why not release a hotfix instead of making your consumers wait ?

I am also still experiencing the problem on my Pixel 7 Pro with the January update.

I can confirm that this is resolved with today's QPR2 beta 2 release. I just ran an MKT race in landscape and was able to steer and fire simultaneously. I hope this also resolves the issues with Gboard and other apps sometimes ignoring taps in areas of the screen, or registering taps as holds.

The latest beta update fixed the issue on my pixel 6 pro.

I'm using the Pixel 6 and this issue isn't fixed on my device. I still can't use items on the right side of the screen while steering on the left.

Had the same issue on my Pixel 5. The update that I installed today, 9-Feb, corrected the issue. The build number of the update is TQ1A.230205.002.
Google Play also finally updated to the January 1, 2023 release. Up until 9-Feb I was stuck on the November 2022 release.

I have the same issue on my pixel 7. It only appears when playing in landscape mode. Portrait mode is working just fine....
Description
* Which Android Developer Preview build are you using? See Settings > About phone > Build number (for example SPB5.210812.002). - T1B3.221003.003
* Is this a regression from Android 12? - Yes, and pre-QPR 13 as well.
* What device are you using? - Pixel 7 Pro
* What are the steps to reproduce the problem? (Please provide the minimal reproducible test case.) - Run Mario Kart Tour, and set game to play in landscape mode with steering on left half and item throwing on right half. Run a race. While actively steering/drifting with left side, attempt to throw an item with the right by tapping or swiping forward or backward. It will not register the taps at all until you let go of the left side entirely, and usually hesitates further before accepting right-side input.
* Issue Category e.g. Framework (platform), NDK (platform), Hardware (CPU, GPU, Sensor, Camera), ART (platform), Runtime Permissions etc - Unsure
* What was the expected result? - Items should fire without issue while steering as they did previously and still do on other devices.
* Can you provide the API document where this expected behavior is explained? - No
* Link to captured Android bug report (shared privately in Drive.) -
* Optional: Link to any screenshot(s) that demonstrate the issue (shared privately in Drive.) - Video link with input taps displayed:
