I am still regularly receiving reports about this issue, and it seems it has not been addressed in the latest 1.4.0-rc01 release.

Seems like a fairly easy fix on our end. I'll see to that it is fixed in 1.5.

Hey vy12021@gmail.com could you check with the latest Android Auto version and also update the Car App Library version to 1.4.0.beta02 version and see if this still occurs?
Description
Devices/Android versions reproduced on: Android Auto DHU emulator 2.0
Android Auto version reproduced on: 8.2.623924-release
SurfaceCallback.onClick(x: Float, y: Float)
The passed click coordinate does NOT take the left-top corner of the current surface viewport as its origin (0,0),
For the vertical direction y, it starts from the bottom of the status bar, which makes the Map engine incorrect in handling the click gesture.
I have not try the scale gesture whether the center position has the same problem.
