Symptoms:

• After a while, a watch face with a complication set to use the SystemProviders.STEP_COUNT may stop receiving steps data. In all cases, the logs show the following error:

11-12 15:03:44.408 10013 1650 9042 D WCS : [ComplicationController]Sending failed; adding to unsent slotId=1001 data=ComplicationData{mType=3, mFields=REDACTED}

Affected devices:

• Confirmed on Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, and Pixel Watch
• Possibly affecting all WearOS 3 devices

Steps to reproduce:

• Unclear unfortunately. We have not been able to identify them but have received hundreds of reports about this issue via our custom support channels. It's very frequent.
