I can't think of why you would mark this bug report as "Won't fix". The proposed solution is merely a workaround.
If I want an Embed map of Tarragona why would I need to request Amfiteatre+de+Tarragona? How about the next city? This really makes no sense. If I place a Marker at the exact same location using the Javascript API, the Marker will be above the other map layers and won't be covered by anything else like place names, POI or whatever.
Please reconsider this request. It is a bug.

We can also notice that no text is generated for the marker, while similar queries on the site do.
On other pages, the marker does not even appear, but the borders of the location are highlighted instead. Example:
<iframe width="100%" height="100%" style="border:0" loading="lazy" allowfullscreen referrerpolicy="no-referrer-when-downgrade" src="
We thought about passing a more concise query (name of the street, postal code and so on), but we want the place card to show the name of the city only as its text, and as far as we know that is not possible using the Embed API.
