Same issue here on qpr 3.1 on pixel 7 pro. Just started out of the blue on November 23 or 24.
br...@gmail.com <br...@gmail.com> #4
Unenrolled from beta, reset pixel 7 pro and did all updates. Ghosting, streaking, artifacts still present in public android 13. Green screen flashes when turning phone on or off occasionally.
gr...@gmail.com <gr...@gmail.com> #5
Same issue here on latest beta but I also have image ghosting on my screen. Icons and text have a ghosted image that bleeds down the screen.
br...@gmail.com <br...@gmail.com> #6
Issue still existing on public android and initiated a replacement front the Google Store.
gr...@gmail.com <gr...@gmail.com> #7
Same after update to latest Pixel Drop update on Stable. It actually started getting worse with a flickering green overlay on the top half of the screen at all times and it now intermittently flashes bright white and then goes black and becomes unresponsive. The only thing I can do to get out of that is to hold the power button until the phone restarts.
I have processed an RMA through Google Fi.

I find that my p7pro has the same issue. Where it suddenly shows a grainy-link line on display and the device becomes unresponsive. I have to do a hard reboot. This issue is getting even worse with the latest December update.

Thank you for reporting this issue. We’ve shared this with our product and engineering teams and will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

Same issue here with streak and ghost artifacts, green areas, white flash when turning display on.
Also temperature dependent: gets worse when display gets warm, up to a point where - after turning off - display can't be turned back on. Phone internally *is* on (proof: NFC payment with Google Wallet works), just display stays black.
Can be resolved temporarily by putting phone into fridge for a few minutes. Yes, seriously. Really temperature dependent.

Yes I live in Arizona and with temperatures becoming hotter the phone has
been getting worse. Google has sent me a refurbished replacement saying it
might resolve the issue.
More to come when I switch phones.

Installed QPR2 Beta 3.2 on my Pixel 7 Pro earlier this afternoon and while it initially seemed to fix the problem, it looks like the artifacting is back on my model.

Installed the GPR2 Beta 3.2 but instead of going away, it remained there the entire time.

I too joined the beta program based on this - still have the issue. Screen still flashes green, and ultimately becomes unresponsive black screen. Dropping in the freezer for 20 seconds fixes the issue, but I don't carry a freezer in my pocket, so this isn't a sustainable solution.
fo...@gmail.com <fo...@gmail.com> #17
I disabled time display on lock screen and its much improved although one time still had symptoms.
ai...@gmail.com <ai...@gmail.com> #18
My screen is now flickering non stop, with upper section a complete shade of green, and several vertical white bands. Currently keeps flashing a white screen and refuses to turn on, even though the temperature is not excessive, however have been using it all day. As soon as the March drop appears, if the issue is still present, then will be looking for a replacement. Only had this device since mid October, and the issue has been present for a month, so 3 months good behavior is a very poor result, for a premium device.
mo...@gmail.com <mo...@gmail.com> #19
Same here. The problem with the flickering screen started about a week ago and it is accelerating in severemess. I have flickering green and grey in my screen and the temperature of the phone is rising during usage. When I close down the phone, it will lock me out. The black screen is irresponsible.

ja...@gmail.com <ja...@gmail.com> #21
Same issue. The vertical streaking is always present to some degree and gets worse as the phone is used more and the phone becomes warm to the touch. After any periods of heavy use, the green flickering starts up and inevitably the screen will go black and won't come back until it is rebooted. This started as an annoyance about a month ago, but now it is a major issue and makes the phone very unreliable. Based on the feedback here it seems there is no reason to join the beta program.

it's getting ridiculous. first, green flashes showed up in january, i think. then, vertical streaks almost always present. then screen flashes and finally... black screen which renders rebooting quite hard. if my screen won't return to normal i'll return my phone and buy an iphone. can't stand that "Google quality" standard anymore.
uj...@gmail.com <uj...@gmail.com> #24
yesterday i had a chat with the assistance and, at first, they told me the screen was broken, then i sent a video of the screen turned off which flickered whenever i tried to turn it on... it stayed off many hours and, suddenly, it turned on - although flickering and with half screen a way and the other of a different hue - and i sent a video... they told me that it seems like the screen is affected by the "green flickering" issue and an update will come soon but... my screen is off most of the time so i can't use my phone.
ai...@gmail.com <ai...@gmail.com> #27
My phone is now almost useless by mid afternoon, will not turn on, just get a bright white flash in the top section, and green flash below when I double tap it. Ready to switch out the Sim card and start the RMA process.would be incredibly surprised if the March feature drop fixes this.
ai...@gmail.com <ai...@gmail.com> #28
Installed the March feature drop on my P7 Pro and while it initially seemed to work, as soon as I started to use my phone a bit more during the day, the issues came back. Phone temperature around 33C. Green tint on the top 2/3 of the screen, not as many artifacts, however soon got the white flash, then phone completely unresponsive with black screen. I could feel the haptic taps but nothing would happen for 5 to 10 minutes. I read somewhere that Google consider this issue fixed with the March feature drop, and if we want to pursue this further, then we need to raise a new issue. Does that issue exist yet? Would prefer to quote a new issue as I navigate the RMA process.

Spent 45 minutes talking to support, despite my best efforts was just directed to a local repair franchise for a screen replacement. Premium device, third rete service.
ba...@gmail.com <ba...@gmail.com> #30
In hopes of correcting this problem. I joined my phone to the beta program and an currently running build UPB1.230309.014.
Unfortunately, this did not address the issue, though it does manifest itself a bit differently now. After updating to the beta, the screen appears normal for approximately the first 20 minutes of use. But then it begins to flicker, but Only at the top half or the bottom half of the screen. If the screen continues being used this phenomenon becomes more severe and, after about an hour, the top and bottom halves of the screen degrade into a asynchronous but concurrent flickering state.
If the phone is put to sleep, with the "always on display" features disabled, it eventually recover and the phone screen will be stable for about 20 minutes. Then the degradation cycle starts again.

Well I had a warranty screen replacement about three weeks ago. Was convinced this would not fix my issues. So touch wood, had no repeat issues. Still monitoring the temperature. If you can, get a screen replacement.
mo...@gmail.com <mo...@gmail.com> #32
Despite several months passing, the issue persists, and it appears that Google has not yet addressed it.

My Pixel 7 Pro screen is flickering nonstop, phone goes dark after some time.
bo...@gmail.com <bo...@gmail.com> #37
Same issue here. 7 Pro with Android 14. I disabled some apps, turned the device off overnight, lowered the brightness, disabled most of the display options, and a few other suggestions that I found online. I tried it in safe-mode as well, and no difference. I find that if I let me phone rest for awhile, then I can use it for an hour or so before it starts flickering. Today for example, it looked fine, but after surfing the web for awhile, as I scrolled in the browser, the flicking started. Light at first, and then increasing. I think after I let it rest for awhile, I should be able to use it again. A few days ago I kept using it even though the flickering had started, and it got to the point where it was flashing bright segments along the screen, and was basically unusable. I bought it just over a year ago, so I guess I'm out of luck unless Google comes up with a fix.
