This functionality was released in benchmark 1.2.0-alpha06:
You'll need to use an Android 13 (API 33) emulator, and androidx.benchmark:benchmark-macro-junit4:1.2.0-alpha06, which removes the requirement for root, and thus works on Play emulator images.
Description
What's going on with Perf monitoring in Android Studio (Dolphin). I used it a while ago and was able to identify bottlenecks, but now I need to do the same - and it doesn't show me any details?!?! I can see the general CPU/Memory graphs, with "Details Unavailable" even though I recorded with "Java/Kotlin Method Trace". What the heck is wrong with you people, you keep fucking around with tooling and it just gets worse and worse. The UI locks up, buttons don't work, errors pop up, unable to parse the trace file, and yada yada. Fuck this shit!
