Component used: Initializer<T> Class Version used: 1.1.1 Devices/Android versions reproduced on: It can not build on release variants

abstract class BaseInitializer : Initializer<Unit> {

	// abstract field or method

	override fun create(context: Context) {
	// initialize logic
	}

	override fun dependencies() = emptyList<Class<out Initializer<*>>>()
	}

	class InitializerImpl : BaseInitializer() {
	// implement field or method
	}

It builds well except release build type In release build an error occurs

Error: Every Initializer needs to be accompanied by a corresponding <meta-data> entry in the AndroidManifest.xml file.

So, I fix this issue by removing Initializer manually in AndroidManifest.xml

	android:name="InitializerImpl"
	android:value="androidx.startup" />
<meta-data
	android:name="BaseInitializer"
	android:value="androidx.startup"
	tools:node="remove"/>

I can not know that this error is intended behavior
