What you would like to accomplish: Customer thinks that it would be great to have the following configuration options configurable from the 'Configuration options > Add database flags' section:

• log_statement

How this might work: Customer would like to be able to have more control over the logging.

If applicable, reasons why alternative solutions are not sufficient: We require auditing of database operations, but pgaudit is forcing raw SQL statements to be written out into Cloud Logging. This leaks sensitive information into our logs which could violate a privacy requirement we have with external stakeholders. We therefore are unable to implement the auditing that we require, and cannot fulfil requirements set to us by external parties.

Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc): We have checked this feature request: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/68374572 but found out that the flag requested has not been added yet and the bug is from 2017.
