We will need:
- Arm compatible clang-cl toolchain.
- Rust 'arm' backend. (One thing to be aware of is that ARM64, or aarch64-pc-windows-msvc as the toolchain target is known as, is that it belongs in tier 2 of Rust's platform support. See:
https://rust-lang.github.io/rustup-components-history/aarch64-pc-windows-msvc.html )

Currently we don't have any immediate plans to support emulator on Windows arm64 host OS.

With recent news (e.g. https://www.qualcomm.com/news/releases/2024/06/qualcomm-computex-2024-keynote-unveils--the-pc-reborn--with-snap ) it seems there are more Windows on ARM laptops being released, with ultra-portables like the Surface Pro now only being available with ARM. So it would be good please to be supporting this - whether for the emulator, or indeed having a native version of Android Studio itself (see also https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/275580748 ). Thanks!

It's a pretty bad look for Google to not support Android development on Windows ARM64.
Description
I wanted to create this in the component Android Public Tracker > App Development > Android Studio > Emulator, but was unable to do so, and am largely guessing as to the appropriate component for this question…
