In a library project, when integrating GameActivity (2.0.0-alpha01) and Paddleboat (2.0.0-alpha01) you can choose to link the static versions, as described here. E.g.:

include $(CLEAR_VARS)
LOCAL_MODULE := foo
LOCAL_STATIC_LIBRARIES := game-activity_static paddleboat_static
include $(BUILD_STATIC_LIBRARY)

$(call import-module,prefab/game-activity)
$(call import-module,prefab/games-controller)

However, you still need to use shared STL. Specifying APP_STL := c++_static produces the following error:

User is using a static STL but library requires a shared STL [//games-controller/paddleboat]

Since my app will only have one single shared .so library, I definitely want to link c++static as per your recommendations. But that is not possible.

This looks like a bug to me.
