Do we need a new ticket for Release 17 and 18? Samsung is testing Release 17 features on the 5300 modem such as NTN and Qualcomm has announced Release 17 and 18 readiness for 2024 phones.

This is resolved in Android 14 beta 1. One observation is that release 16 is only advertised through LTE messages and not through NR messages. Purely cosmetic at this point.

Description
Attached is the UE cap message specifying "accessStratumRelease : rel15" and screenshot from diag menus and tools showing Release 15.
No steps to replicate. Competing products implemented Release 16 in 2022. The Pixel 7 modem is capable of Release 16 and is expected to be reused for the Pixel 8.
