Sometimes a morph animation results in the final shape having an artifact, where a single straightedge is in place of whatever curve should be there instead. This seems to happen specifically when doing a morph from a shape to itself.

See the attached video for examples of this (specifically, circle -> circle and Alice (irregular triangle) -> Alice
