went into settings -> reset -> reset mobile network, deleted the eSIM, physical SIM still not detected, still cannot add eSIM.
Tried to erase eSim again:
eSIM can't be erased due to an error.
Rebooted the phone
eSIM showed up now, but when i try to enable it, it turns itself off again.
tried a couple times, now it's stuck on 'Switching to T-Mobile NL for calls and messages..."
i will give it some time.

Curious if the physical SIM appeared? On my P7 Pro, the physical SIM did not appear after reboots or resets so I went back to 13 stable.

Updated to UPB1.230309.017 now. Still the issue persists. Physical sim is still not being detected

I hadn't this issue with the first beta, now my phone is unusable with the Beta 1.1.
No cellular network.
No cellular network.

This FIX worked for me:
Go to settings - Network & Internet (use the setting app, NOT the quick settings menu from the notification toggles)
Then go to SIMs
Look for your actual SIM if is "Inactive" and slide the toogle to ON position.
You'll see the network signal in status bar and probable start getting the "com.android.nqs" app stopping notice.

Same issue here, still "No SIM" after 1.1 update.
am...@gmail.com <am...@gmail.com> #17
Still "No SIM" after the update. This update has completely broken my Pixel 7. This is a basic functionality and missing this to test/fix is even extreme for beta.

Reporting here that beta 2 finally fixed this for me (physical sim card was not detected in earlier 2 beta builds)
al...@gmail.com <al...@gmail.com> #19
Exactly the same issue here - disabled eSIM I wasn't using and now no option to re-enable it! Disabled physical SIM and same problem but at least after ejecting it and reinserting it it was seen again, but eSIM has vanished.
al...@gmail.com <al...@gmail.com> #20
PS why is this marked as fixed when the issue occurs with the latest Android version 13? (TQ3A.230605.011)

So thankfully Airalo reissued the SIM for me which did the trick, but very frustrating this happened.
For clarity for any Google staff (I did try to submit a full bug report however it didn't seem to upload properly to Google Drive)...
The issue is SIM and eSIMs disappearing when you disable them and being unable to re-enable them. For physical SIM cards you can eject and reinsert them but for eSIMs there's no such ability and it needs to be deleted and reissued (I've also lost all my saved Wifi networks too!).
The previous version of Android 13 a couple of months ago never did this on my Pixel 5.
Do you have an ETA for a fix? This is a pretty major bug.

Another bug I've noticed is the option to delete an eSIM has disappeared.
I've done a screen recording showing that when an eSIM is disabled it vanishes altogether...

Bumping this issue, major big as switching off physical SIM to use eSim for data causes the physical SIM to disappear and can't be reenabled
md...@gmail.com <md...@gmail.com> #24
Sadly I have the same Issue on Pixel 7 Pro with both eSim on the released Android 14 version. First time I made a factory reset. Now after one week the Issue appeared again.
dr...@gmail.com <dr...@gmail.com> #25
For me the solution was to insert the sim while my phone was on
mw...@gmail.com <mw...@gmail.com> #26
I am having this issue on Android 14 build# U1TGNS34.42-86-4-1 (NOT Beta, the actual OTA official update). My SIM card worked perfectly well before the May-01-2024 Android 14 update. But ever since, it will randomly stop working at some point during the day while the phone (Moto G Stylus 5g 2023) is turned on. The ONLY way I've been able to get the SIM card working again is by turning the phone completely off, popping out the SIM card, putting it back in, waiting a couple minutes, and then turning the phone back on. Unfortunately this method does not have a 100% success rate, and at times requires multiple attempts before the phone finally recognizes the SIM card again. I have no idea why this is happening, but as it only started after the Android 14 OTA update, I'm pretty sure this isn't just a coincidence. From a quick Google search I can easily tell I'm not the only one with this issue, though apparently as of now (June-25-2024) I'm the only one with my device who has reported the problem. Unfortunately I haven't found any info on any potential kind of fix. I'm going to attempt to get my carrier to send me a new SIM card just in case it is a hardware issue. I'll update this post if that resolves the issue. But something tells me it won't.
