If no essential contacts are configured, users may not be notified by outage or disruption events.

A disclaimer that clarifies this point and the required steps to configure it would be a beneficial addition and could prevent incidents from not being noticed by the affected users, hence reducing the business impact that any of these incidents may cause.

This could be especially useful for users who host their production environment on GCP.
