Android Studio is continuously freezing.
If I open a test file it is stuck at "Analyzing"
I cannot navigate to elements by ctrl+click as I get a dialog about resolving references.
If I try to refactor a variable name the whole program may freeze and I am forced to kill the process, sometimes losing work.
I reinstalled Android studio and the Android SDK, I cleared gradle cache as well as android studio cache, I tried all the options from "Repair IDE" but no luck. It started happening from this week, no big changes happened to my knowledge.
After I started experiencing this on Flamingo Patch 1, I updated Flamingo to Patch 2. I also upgraded the AGP to 8.0.2 (from 8.0.1) and also tried updating gradle from 8.0.2 to 8.1.1, but nothing seems to help.
