There are many scenarios that will benefit from this method.

For example, the bottom of the IME type usually includes the bottom of the NAVIGATION_BARS type. Whether the specific type of insets of the systembar is consumed will affect the way the ime is used.

The old way exists, but it doesn't apply to the new way of use and has been deprecated:

Any updates on this? It's been a month already since I reported it, and it seems this crash is occurring quite frequently for my users.
