This is the intended behavior. There are no plans to make the tag or package name colors configurable.

This is odd because the colors of the indicator and message are configurable, but the color of the tag is only decided by the theme. This leads to a poor experience where some colors are different than the rest of the logcat display. At a minimum it would be useful to have the option of no-color so the logcat is at least uniform

Can you post a screenshot showing which colors don't work?
We have a bank of colors for each theme so they should be reasonable. If we have some colors that don't work well with the theme, we can change them.

Attached a screen shot. In general I would prefer logcat to be greyscale except for error messages. Instead the tags are colored differently, and make the display more difficult to read.

1. Describe the bug or issue that you're seeing.
The colors of logcat messages can be styled in the settings. Despite changing colors of indicators and messages, the tag portion of logs is still colored.
2. Attach log files from Android Studio
2A. In the IDE, select the Help..Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data menu option.
2B. Create a diagnostic report and save it to your local computer.
2C. Attach the report to this bug using the Add attachments button.
3. If you know what they are, write the steps to reproduce:
