We'd like to have a feature similar to the one provided by Artifact Registry that allows performing cleanup of artifacts based on some rules [1]. Specifically, we'd like the same feature for custom Cloud Images.

We build several Cloud Images every day as part of our automations, and a cleanup policy would allow us to prevent image storage costs to rise.

Other than the rules already available for Artifact Registry, it would also be desired to have a cleanup policy that allows deleting an Image when it hasn't been used for a configurable mount of days [2]
