application:library-tests, application:tests__ExtractAnnotationsTest, application:tests__JacocoTest, application:tests__DexingArtifactTransformTest are all failing after upgrading to gradle 8.4 because of the file operation in ProcessJavaResTask. This github issue may be related. The problem is that configuration cache output cannot reliably be cached because of file operation during configuration phase.
