Description
I want similar functionality to AWS Elemental MediaConvert (see link below) where we can configure a transcode job with upper and lower bitrate limits and allow the service to automatically determine an appropriate ladder for the source video.
How this might work:
Allow developers to create Transcoder API jobs with a provided upper and lower bitrate limit, and maximum number of renditions, instead of requiring explicit ladders with the job config.
If applicable, reasons why alternative solutions are not sufficient:
A common ABR ladder, is inefficient. Each video has different bitrate requirements and this is something that Transcoder API could determine if opted-into. Please read the article below from AWS on the benefits.
