Story points rate the relative effort of work in a Fibonacci-like format: 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 20, 40, 100. Each team will estimate work on a slightly different scale, which means the values in this field are likely only meaningful to the team that owns the Buganizer component in which the issue resides.

Description
I am the developer of dashOBD (com.ecm.dashobd) app. The app is an Android Auto app that displays data about OBD device (IOT device) in a simple pane template. I published it under IOT category.
I am unable to update the app. Every time, the app gets rejected because of "
Issue found: Category not permitted" and "At this time, we are only accepting apps within the Media, short form Messaging, or categories supported by the Android for Cars App Library. Media apps that use TSS engine readout for content are not permitted at this time. The app must not include features outside the app types intended for cars. For more information, see Supported app categories."
The app is clearly a typical example of IOT apps, but for some reason, it seems that there is a hidden criteria that Google reviewers are using to reject the app.
I tried appealing multiple times, and every time one of two things happen:
1- I receive a very generic answer that does not help me at all in improving my app.
2- I receive a response saying that the app does fall under IOT category, and refers me to the section IT-1 Android app quality for cars, which confirms that my app DOES FIT INTO THE IOT CATEGORY.
My app users are asking for feature updates and expect me to solve bugs, but I am completely unable to get an update approved.
Please take some time to tell me what to do because I am not the only developer facing extreme hardships in publishing/updating their apps that target Android Auto.
Thank you.
