Please describe your requested enhancement. Good feature requests will solve common problems or enable new use cases.
What you would like to accomplish:
On speech have the maxAlternatives settings enabled or settable. Even on the phone (soft or telephony) this kind of thing matters especially if your using dialogflow products. IBM Watson has it, so does Amazon, Microsoft (Nuance), why not Google?. It's a very strange omission.
How this might work:
You already have most of the settings into the Google ASR core, so adding this enablement should be easy
If applicable, reasons why alternative solutions are not sufficient:
It's just not feasible, and cost prohibitive as well as messy to mix multiple transcription models.
Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc):
This solves a big issue around disambiguation and can improve the intelligence of the ES and CX platform with more creative customer CX offering.
