What you would like to accomplish:

Would like an option for their Speech-to-Text API Request Results to Appear in the Speech to text Transcriptions Cloud Console UI
Currently STT API request results only outputs the JSON response

How this might work:

Update TranscriptOutputConfig so that the saved JSON file can be read by the service if it's GCS path lines up with the Speech-to-text workspace bucket

If applicable, reasons why alternative solutions are not sufficient:

There are no alternate solutions to have your results included in the Speech-to-Text UI

Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc):

Attempted to upload the JSON response into the workspace bucket but it wasn't included, likely due to the presumably missing metadata for the request needed in the generated_workspace_file.json file, normally this filed is generated and updated automatically when you use the service through the cloud console

I have informed our engineering team of this feature request. There is currently no ETA for its implementation.

A current workaround would be to check the returned "boundingPoly" [1] "vertices" for the returned "textAnnotations". If the calculated rectangle's heights > widths, than your image is sideways.
