Problem you have encountered: Users have to download a large package index (20MB) to update to the latest version of Firefox Nightly. Tests show that compressing the package index with xz can reduce
this to 3MB, which is a ~85% reduction in size.


What you expected to happen:  Fetching the packages.mozilla.org index should just be a matter of downloading a few kilobytes.


Steps to reproduce:
sudo apt-get update
