Description
Dear Google Support Team,
I hope this email finds you well. We are writing to inquire about the status and potential enhancements of Gmail Annotations, particularly regarding the Carousel feature.
Over the past year, we have been actively utilizing Gmail Annotations, initially with the successful implementation of Deal Annotations. Our stakeholders have found this feature invaluable in streamlining communication and enhancing user experience within the Promotion tab.
However, as we sought to expand our usage to incorporate promotion cards featuring carousels of images, we encountered challenges. Despite ensuring the correctness of our implementation scripts, we have observed that these promotional cards, including the previously functional Deal Annotations, have ceased to appear following recent updates from Google. This issue persists across both personal Gmail accounts and dedicated testing accounts such as promotabtesting.
We have rigorously tested various configurations, ranging from single-image promotions to those featuring up to 10 images, in incremental increments. Unfortunately, all tests have yielded unsuccessful results.
Given the importance of this functionality to our business operations across various US business units, we are eager to seek guidance from your team regarding potential solutions or insights into the future of Annotations, specifically the Carousel feature. Are there upcoming enhancements planned by Google in this regard, or is this functionality slated for discontinuation?
Your expertise and support in addressing this matter would be immensely appreciated. We remain committed to leveraging Gmail Annotations to their fullest potential and look forward to any guidance or assistance you can provide.
Additionally, we have attached some samples of our successful deal annotations across a couple of our business units for your reference.
Our BU in these samples are HelloFresh, GreenChef, Factor_ and EveryPlate.
Thank you for your attention to this inquiry. We eagerly await your response.
Warm regards, Mike
