This functionality was released in benchmark 1.2.0-alpha06:
You'll need to use an Android 13 (API 33) emulator, and androidx.benchmark:benchmark-macro-junit4:1.2.0-alpha06, which removes the requirement for root, and thus works on Play emulator images.
Description
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Start a profiling session
2. Click on the red stop button, choose "Do not ask me again"
3. Restart the Studio
4. Start a profiling session
5. Click on the red stop button, it will ask again the "Are you sure you want to end the current profiling session?" question.
This issue is present since years.
