Hi,

I've been trying to make a launcher for my Pixel Watch, since you can change the default launcher (Settings -> Apps & notifications -> Default apps -> Home app), but it seems that it's not possible for third party launchers to add the functionality to go back to the watch face or open the launcher when pressing the primary button (like the default launcher), this severely restricts the launcher's capabilities to operate normally.

Yep. https://issuetracker.google.com/289419882 turned up a whole bunch of broken things. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more issues, but this one is already fixed.

Status: Won't Fix (Intended Behavior)

We have looked into the issue and would like to inform you that this is working as intended. WearOS does not support third party launchers.
