• As a potential workaround, employing Log views [1] in conjunction with IAM conditions [2] could be used, as with it, it is possible to let the determined principals only access the filtered trace’s logs, ultimately allowing the visualization of the span fields via the GCP console whilst restricting the overall access to Cloud Logging. Nonetheless, this would require additional setup which could be avoided.
