As a plant lover, I frequently find myself in need of capturing macro photos of plants. Unfortunately, I encounter issues with the autofocus capabilities of some of my devices, particularly when capturing shots of delicate plants / small specimen.

Therefore, it would be beneficial to have official APIs that allow for precise control of focus distance/depth without the necessity of utilizing the Interop layer with Camera2.
