Similar problem in my apps when using ScrollView in activities and dialogs. When scrolling up or down there is no animation when we reach the edge. There is no possibility to scroll in the opposite direction until we press the screen. Many apps have this problem. Please fix this issue. Bad user experience.

Unfortunately, this issue has only been partially fixed.

After scrolling the ScrollView content down and then up to the very beginning, the ScrollView content does not return to its starting position. When the screen is pressed again, the ScrollView content returns to its starting position. Same problem when scrolling up and then down to the very end.

Please fix this issue completely before the final release. Bad user experience.

Based on my testing, the behavior is now partially fixed for ScrollView and completely unfixed for HorizontalScrollView. As for the correct behavior, please refer to RecyclerView scrolling behavior, it works well, and is unaffected by this bug.

I've added a new directory "Issue 286422637 follow-up" to the shared drive link. It contains a new test app to test both ScrollView and HorizontalScrollView, a screen record and screenshots I took when testing, comparsion images for the normal and wrong state, and a bugreport captured on my Pixel 5.

Please check and fix the issue before final release. Thanks!

Android 14 QPR1 Beta contains the fix for this bug. Sadly it is not fixed in the stable release of Android 14, which means that Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a (5G) will probably never get the fix officialy.

Seeing the same issue with the camera, extremely disrupting. If you open the camera with a shortcut from the lock screen and tap on the screen, you get prompted for the pin. It leads to missing photo opportunities, as even trapping on the "take photo" button prompts for the pin instead of taking the photo.

Guys please stop updating "I am also having the same issue." It doesn't help with the issue and the ping goes to everyone who is part of this issue which is unnecessary. You can just click on the +1 button on the top and the google team will know you're having the same issue.

Everytime i get the ping i think there is some update, but it's just someone saying, I'm also having this issue.

You can also change your update settings y to only major updates.

A bit more info: it seems that there used to be an option for some apps or functionality to work without unlocking which is what is broken.

For me, things that shouldn't ask and now ask is Youtube Music interactions, dismiss alarms, pick up calls, taking photos with shortcut to camera, wallet (you unlock once, then it asks again), etc.

I think that when I was having this issue, it broke a family member's phone. They called me and I had to unlock to answer the call. It made it so that it showed that they called me 2 times. After ending the call, they were unable to call anyone and had to restart their phone.

I just updated my pixel 6A, and the issue still exists. The phone requires unlocking for every tap on the lock screen. Things like switching tracks on Spotify or expanding notifications makes the password menu popup.

Good evening, I think I've figured out what causes the Lock Screen Bug on my phone. My phone's Lock Screen worked perfectly today, but since I opened gemini on the lock screen the bug recurred. I tried restarting the phone and reopening Gemini in the Lock Screen which worked and the bug recurred in the same way as before.
