Description
Please describe your requested enhancement. Good feature requests will solve common problems or enable new use cases.
What you would like to accomplish:
Would it be possible to enable support for sending a numeric One time password (OTP) to users via email as a method of verifying a user email?
How this might work:
When a user logs in, send a 6 digit code to their email address that can be used to log into the application. This is something that is supported by Amazon
If applicable, reasons why alternative solutions are not sufficient:
We don't want to use the verification link that is sent via email when using [1]. I was able to find support for TOTP [2], and I checked the documentation for OOB codes [3], but this is something that is added to the verification URL itself rather than sent to the user to use as just a code.
