The recent 3.3.0 release of the paging library contains a critical bug that is causing real-world crashes.

At the time of writing this is still the recommended release on https://developer.android.com/topic/libraries/architecture/paging/v3-overview, and the release notes at https://developer.android.com/jetpack/androidx/releases/paging#3.3.0 do not reference this issue.

Please update those, reference the issue, and recommend that people stay on 3.2.1 until there is a release with the fix. And/or (on the same pages) reference the issue with clear instructions on how developers can use 3.3.0 while mitigating the crash (if that is possible).
