In the AndroidX PDF library, the search view is animated using the WindowInsetsAnimation.Callback. If you're using the same callback in a parent view hierarchy that contains the PdfViewerFragment's container, ensure that you set the dispatchMode to DISPATCH_MODE_CONTINUE_ON_SUBTREE. This setting allows the callback to propagate further down the view hierarchy.

Without this, the callback might be consumed at an upper level, preventing it from being received by the PdfViewerFragment's container.

It seems your concern is that the search view remains behind the keyboard when it's open, instead of being positioned below it.

As mentioned in my earlier comment here, the search view won't animate correctly with the keyboard unless insets are dispatched to the PdfContainer.

To resolve this, please ensure that the view hierarchy containing the PdfViewerFragment allows insets to propagate down the view hierarchy.
