Here is the export of the data from the table in the Looker Studio report. You can see the .gif image is the one that will not display in the table:
Description
According to documentation with a description of how to use and display an image was helpful for general understanding one the other hand it included example of one format which is *jpg.
The issue that i am facing with is even if define the Data Type of the field as URL and then Image, nothing will be displayed.
Please see behavior in this sample data:
What you expected to happen:
We wold love that this option will become available.
Steps to reproduce:
In Looker Studio add Data Source ->
Choose Sample data ->
Add a chart ->
Add dimension(Ad Thumbnail) ->
Edit field ->
Change Data Type to Image -> choose URL -> Choose Image.
Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc):
1 - used regex to change URL from https to http
2 - used generative AI to find a solution without luck - suggested solution was to upload the image to 3rd party and use new link (not a good idea from my prespective).
