This is not only useful for IP addresses, but also for many other resources. I understand that names are currently used as identifiers, so this request is probably not trivial to implement. Maybe distinguishing between a (numeric, automatically generated) identifier and a (textual) label is the way to go?
Description
a.Let’s start by having you and the client write a detailed feature request: Having the rationale for the feature and explanation of how it would help not only them but a large swath of existing and potential developers (in great depth and specificity) would be greatly helpful in convincing the team to meet with you.
b. Please reply with your first attempt at this and on receiving it we can decide how to iterate and/or proceed.

Many of my Maderr, which is my company's Web/App builder platform, service users lack prior experience with Google Cloud, which can create challenges in navigating the Terms of Service (ToS) when building websites and mobile apps first time through GCP. In fact, over 60% of our Maderr platform users have expressed difficulties in activating and using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), often leading to user churn.
Even the top-ranked app builder company, Flutter Flow, with over 1.25 million users, has been unable to fully resolve the GCP ToS issues, as evidenced by the guidance they provide (as shown in the attached "ToS example.png").
This suggests that the user-unfriendly nature of GCP's onboarding process is a common pain point that is driving customer attrition across the industry.
Our data indicates that the average monthly GCP usage per Maderr user is around $800. We believe the usage of GCP by Flutter Flow's customers is also substantial. If Maderr were able to resolve the ToS and API integration challenges with GCP, it could significantly contribute to the revenue growth of these Google Cloud services.
Furthermore, if the entry barriers to GCP continue to rise, customers may be compelled to explore alternative cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure. As an official Google Cloud partner and a company closely aligned with Google Cloud, we are deeply committed to fostering the growth and success of these Google Cloud services.
"ToS Api info.png" image attached is API info that we need for GCP ToS. I hope this helps you all.
