WebP is a new image format that provides lossless and lossy compression for images on the web. Can we get webp support for the Static Maps V2 API in addition to the other imagery APIs (like street view)?

It would be even better if I could pass &format=auto and your service could pick the format based on what my browser advertises in the Accepts header so Chrome users get webp while IE users still get PNG.

Yes please :) Along with a more specific definition of how the Popular Times are determined (how much history? done by mobile device activity? check ins?)
