Yes please :) Along with a more specific definition of how the Popular Times are determined (how much history? done by mobile device activity? check ins?)
fe...@getset.com.br <fe...@getset.com.br> #3
Making popular times available by day of the week would be awesome
[Deleted User] <[Deleted User]> #4
It already is Jeffrey, you can toggle by day on mobile or desktop
sw...@gmail.com <sw...@gmail.com> #5
This feature would be really nice.
lo...@gmail.com <lo...@gmail.com> #6
@r22, I think Jeff is referring to the ability to split popular times by day of week in the information released by the API, not the currently existing web GUI.
Maybe the info appears as a nested object? e.g. "popular times" > "day of week" > "hour of day" > traffic count

+1 for this feature. Right now I have to create a (redundant) separat button for this action.
ma...@gmail.com <ma...@gmail.com> #8
+1, actually I have to disable toolbar and create custom buttons for it
lo...@gmail.com <lo...@gmail.com> #9
+1, it will be very useful feature.
ni...@cubicus.co.uk <ni...@cubicus.co.uk> #10
Would be extremely helpful to have access to this data directly via the API. Is it maybe available via another API?

This could be accomplished with a new method to perform a click over a Marker directly instead to show info window and toolbar separately.

ja...@gmail.com <ja...@gmail.com> #32
+1 This really should be added with so much demand for it. There obviously is code for it already, it would just need to be refactored a bit.
cm...@gmail.com <cm...@gmail.com> #33
Honestly with Google's major push to give Android a facelift I'm flabbergasted as to how this corner of the Maps API has avoided attention for so many years.

The only thing missing in the Places API! Too bad it was not added with the latest Google I/O batch of changes
fr...@gmail.com <fr...@gmail.com> #41
I join the chorus of people requesting this feature.
Description
"In a lite-mode map, the toolbar persists independently of the user's actions. In a fully-interactive map, the toolbar slides in when the user taps a marker and slides out again when the marker is no longer in focus."
I would like to be able to show the toolbar on an interactive map when there's only 1 marker showing, rather than requiring the user to click on it, for a couple of reasons:
-If you programmatically show an info window, the toolbar is not shown - the user wouldn't know to tap the (already selected) marker to show it.
-In situations where the rest of the activity already only relates to one location (and the marker doesn't need an info window), the user wouldn't know to tap it
An earlier request (by someone else) on StackOverflow:
