I agree, the photo is way too small

And When we make the Call to somebody the Photo is not shown unless the Caller Picks
the Phone, this is annoying too.

Please make the caller ID picture bigger!

Please make it bigger, 96x96px is very small, need to be bigger also in Google
Contacts, because after sync make it small again and too much compressed and blurry.

People are always asking why my caller ID pictures are so tiny.
Big turn off to some.
Much bigger Caller ID screen is a must. Apps that have tried get cut off by Google
sync. So even efforts by devs are getting hampered.

Who's idea was it in the almighty Google staff to limit the contact pic size to
96x96? Really? The G1, being the first Google phone, has a 3.2" screen with 320x480
rez..just doesnt make sense to me. Plz fix this issue Google. You guys strive to be
innovators, but seem to not care to fix something so simple as this. And don't even
get me started on Animated Gifs.........................

The contact pictures should stay at whatever resolution the user originally sets them with! I now try to make all
my contact pictures 480x480 to comply with the full width of my Motorola Droid. I don't want Google or my
Droid resizing these for me. Please at least make this something that is prompted if the phone is going to resize
the picture. For instance, if you supplied a 1000x1000 contact picture, Android would say "Resize contact
picture to 200x200?" with the options for "Yes", "No", "Custom Size". That would be awesome.

This is kind of a big deal! Those tiny photos are garbage up in the right hand corner
of the iphone UI.  Fullscreen photos would be great, and would also be great if when
I actually chose a fullscreen photo from within the phone UI that it wouldn't sync
back and become tiny and blurry within minutes :\ boooo

Make them big, allow us to choose big ones from within gmail too.

I agree. User should be able to specify size of contact pictures -- not only when a
call is in progress, but also on the contact list itself. I have to wear reading
glasses to recognize people on my contact list.

I agree. The photo size should be larger (like the Palm Pre) and the photo
resolution clearer.

Agree 100% please give us larger photo, also in contact view if we touch the photo
enlarge it, that would be cool and helpful-

When someone calls the incomming contact photo size should be larger and higher
resolution.  Same for outgoing calls to contacts.

Ability to change the backgrounds of in-call screens would be nice too.

The contact pictures that google allows are WAY to small.  I have an iPhone, and use
the Facebook application to sync facebook profile pictures with the contact photos on
my device.  My phone also syncs with Google via google sync, so the large profile
pictures I get from Facebook are synced to Google.  Google resizes them to the smaller
96x96 and the new pictures are synced back to my phone; as a result, the photos appear extremely pixelated and low quality. Google, please fix this! Allow larger, fullscreen

96X96 is way too small. You can't even see who's calling if it is not a face shot.

If google won't fix their sync api to support higher res pics, android should have
the option to override inward syncing of contact pics & the ability to store custom
res contact pics on the phone or sdcard. In other words, pics are stored locally at
higher resolution; contacts, including pics, can sync upto gmail; downward syncing
of all contact fields also can be enabled, but a config option allows downward
syncing of contact pics to be suppressed if a higher res pic already exists on phone.

This seems a more practical approach than waiting for google to change their api.
Support for this improvement within HTC's own dialler too would be nice, seeing as
I'm using that ;-)

got my nexus one recently. coming from iphone, it's quite a turnoff to see such a small
thumbnail for contact. seems to bring me back to the old days of n95.

I strongly agree that full size photos is a MUST. Our phones appear to be incapable of handling large
images to non-android folks. :(

Not only make it bigger, but keep the photo in high quality!!! Every contact photo,

I'm no programmer, but this issue seems like an easy fix (and an important one too).
The iPhone's contact photo utilizes the entire screen. Why can't Android do it also?
The picture is so small that it's useless.

The average human will focus in on pictures before text. Since the pic is so small,
it takes longer to figure out who's calling even though the name is written right
under it.

I also say make the size bigger. A bit small currently.

We need larger pictures when viewing contact cards and upon receiving a call from that contact. What's the point
of having it if you can't see the picture.

Full screen photos are a must, or at least some more options (e.g. a locally stored
high-res version, and a smaller thumbnail for sync'ing back to Google Contacts).

I agree full-size caller id photo would be amazing!  if the iPhone can, this is the
one thing I've found that the Droid does NOT.  Is there someone that has created an
app for this?  Or is this something we can just make the appropriate adjustment in
preferences?
