No owner is assigned yet from google. Just wanted to know is really google going into this direction or we developers have to think of our own ways to accomplish the same. There has been same issue already opened but no one is paying heed. Should we really wait because its really annoying.

This definitely needs to be fixed, place picker is useless without the ability to filter by place type!

Description
In Place Picker UI Widget, give provision to add a filter of place types in PlaceIntent Builder so that nearby places in Placepicker will show only those types.
