7.1.1 only included 2 critical Studio fixes in order to release very quickly with minimum testing, so the fix will be included in 7.1.2. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Then again, also consider that the people developing these tools and environments are well versed on the nuances of the user experience: wile valid, your request can be sidestepped by setting up an email filter for these messages, if that's the source of your annoyance, or an equivalent regarding other media: suppressing an undesired message yields preference to getting users the information they need, hence something that the user can accomplish on his end would unlikely take precedence in the development pipeline.
I go back to my first suggestion: if this issue gets enough traction to get noticed, it would most likely be acted upon.
Lastly, consider the IT implication of such a development: you're granting editting rights to an external user over content / information related to someone else's project / account. Such a feat don't come lightly, with a steep resource bill of man hours and resources.

There might be a reason for this.
So, at least "Request self deletion" button should be added. When it pressed, owner should receive email with self deletion request and link, that deletes user from project.

I have the same issue as some others here. I've reached out to the project owner on many occasions, and they've been completely unresponsive. I've been considering completely deleting my google account linked to the project, with the intent on recreating it afterwards. Has anyone tried this yet?
he...@gmail.com <he...@gmail.com> #198
We were successful with it 2 months ago.
1.) Contact the Google Play Developer Support via
2.) You may receive an answer via email like "If you would like to be removed from the authorised users, you may need to ask the account owner ***@***.*** to do it.
For further information, you could refer to this link:
3.) Reply on this answer of the support team member. Explain that contacting the account owner is not an option for you due to some reason (account owner unresponsive / passed away / ended all business relationships).
4.) You will be manually removed by the support team member.

My former boss doesn't want to remove me from his project, and really he doesn't have to.
Google just seems to care of great and novel ways to harvest personal information and printing ads, so I think I'll just dump my Gmail account altogether, either way I don't need really need it.

Come on, y'all. I don't need the boot camp project that I worked on years ago to show in my projects because I can't contact the person who has ownership permissions, that's absurd. If I want to leave a project, I should have that permission. Why should I be forced to maintain low-level permissions on a project that doesn't even exist anymore? Shouldn't I have the ability to consent to leave a project if it's no longer viable, doesn't exist, or I can't get a hold of the person who owns the project? Whatever permissions issue exists in IAM that doesn't allow you to leave at your own will should really be worked out.

I reached out to google support about being able to see the hybrid-elysium-184820 project. They looked into it and responded as follows:
The reason why you are seeing the project is because the owner of that project has set google-admob-ads-sdk@googlegroups.com with a resource manager permission. And since your email address is a part of that group, you are able to view the project. However, the permission is not enough for me to provide any other information. We also cannot unassign that group from the project. You are welcome to leave the group if you no longer wish to see the project in your console. We also cannot dictate to the project owner that they remove the group from their project. I can assure you though that this will not be a problem in terms of charges as the project is not connected to your billing account and payment method at all.
Update: It worked for me. I left the group and the project is no longer shown in my cloud console. Its still so weird.

"Your overall security hygiene dramatically improves if most of your workloads are on a cloud,"
Somebody tell VP Sunil Potti @Google that Google cloud security isn't worth sh*t if you've got devs abandoning old accounts because of this issue, accounts that can be breached perhaps because they're not monitored or maintained for 2FA, attached to Google Cloud projects.
Somebody also tell him that having P2 level security issues with your cloud that's been open for 11 years is not good "security hygiene", nor is marking it a "feature request" as though it's an optional thing.

It turned out that projects that were unfamiliar to me appeared in my Google Cloud Console because I was subscribed to the group "Google Mobile Ads SDK Developers". I searched for a solution and finally came across this topic and the official answer is from Google support:
Makes it clear that it's all about groups.
You can leave your groups here:
In my case, after 10 minutes, all third-party projects disappeared from my Google Cloud Console.
To help others find this topic faster, I will leave here a list of projects that I have with this group:
Bongtar Channel datarlomkh
Elimuhub hybrid-elysium-184820
Google adsen erudite-fusion-317616
My First Project key-charmer-319101
google admob admob-28680
I hope this will help those who have a similar problem solve it faster.

to groups, such as those you were assigned at a company that you no longer
work for or have access to, to have yourself removed from.
The above groups solution is not valid in this scenario.

old projects where I was consultant, the owners might be gone or not, the company might exist or not - it just does not matter. I should be able to remove myself from developer accounts/companies/apps where I'm not the owner and I was invited to participate for a limited period of time. Even more annoying is that now I receive emails and notifications to solve issues/policy issues for old apps where I was consulting 7 years ago.
Somehow, I understand that Google does not want to have apps that are orphaned, with no-one left to handle/manage them - but that's the Google <-> app owner thing to solve. Google could check yearly that the owner exists - maybe some kind of renew account, even if at no cost - just to keep the owner account active.
