Please add a stable version of App Engine that changes less frequently, and is updated only e.g. a month after the latest version has been working in production. The goals would be similar to that of the Debian stable release. Customers who selected this would trade off newer features in return for a more predictable environment.

Makes sense - this would be the "stable" pool that doesn't receive upgrades for ~2 release cycles (roughly 2 months).

Well, that's not quite debian stable IMO. So I'd like to propose "very stable", updated twice a year only.

Great idea. We could run our mission critical stuff on stable and create a new app in "unstable" if we need to use whatever new features were just released.
