One more detail, Data Layer event calls from the watch to the phone (running Android 13) do work on if the listener is in an Activity or Fragment.

Description
Please consider using django-nonrel as the Django 1.4 library in App Engine. Here's some benefits:
1. It's easier to port Django apps to App Engine since the ORM is mostly compatible.
2. Many third party Django apps work because the ORM is compatible.
3. This reduces the risk of trying App Engine because it gives users an alternative to move out of GAE, probably to MongoDB. This could potentially be seen as a negative, but as long as GAE is great, users would not leave. It may also draw MongoDB users.
4. It could build developer support for django-nonrel on GAE.
