This is not only useful for IP addresses, but also for many other resources. I understand that names are currently used as identifiers, so this request is probably not trivial to implement. Maybe distinguishing between a (numeric, automatically generated) identifier and a (textual) label is the way to go?
Description
It is good if you include "destination" zone into CDN logging format so we can calculate user billing.
At the moment, we use our internal IP to Country location database to track per destination usage, but at the end your and our metrics can be different since we use different IP to Country location database.
Destinations list:
Asia Pacific
Australia
China
Europe
North America
All other destinations
Our use case:
We build Wordpress hosting and give clients ability to use Google CDN.
We parse CDN logs, locate destination by ip address and calculate per user usage and then bill them.
But Google CDN usage and our client usage can be different.
