Android Studio doesn't show the tint on my ImageView unless I use tools:tint in addition to app:tint. If I use android:tint, then I don't need tools:tint, but android:tint gives a linter error:
Must use app:tint instead of android:tint More... (⌘F1)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Create an xml layout
Use app:tint
Observe that the tint is still black
Add tools:tint with the app:tint value
Observe that the tint is now changed
Use android:tint and delete tools:tint with the app:tint value
Observe that the tint is the same.
