For the record, this is the upstream fix: https://github.com/JetBrains/intellij-community/commit/6117538d131230a73cab9b9b3c0fa32efbdeed11

As indicated in that commit, it's in IJ 243, and will be merged to Android Studio early November (AGP 8.9)
