A screen record showing the issue (if UI related): - added as attachment, check towards the end of the video. Video is of an entire session, meant to show that it may be hard to catch the issue but 1 issue in 20 tries seems too much.

Issue description:

Saw it in my own app, reproduces also in the official sample
Sometimes the ime() insets we have access to in WindowInsetsAnimationCompat.Callback#onProgress are zeroed.
This results in UI artifacts and inconsistent UI/UX

Any updates on this? It's been a month already since I reported it, and it seems this crash is occurring quite frequently for my users.

I am still regularly receiving reports about this issue, and it seems it has not been addressed in the latest 1.4.0-rc01 release.

Seems like a fairly easy fix on our end. I'll see to that it is fixed in 1.5.
