First experience of this happened when I tried to go for a jog and was able to connect to buds but only while phone was in hand. As soon as it went in my pocket the connection was all messed up.

same thing with the weighing scale, I have tried with multiple weighing scales and while connectign to them using the vitafit app...and opened the settings bluetooth page at the same time in multitasking and the device does show up there just doesn't connect.
with the govee lights it does connect to my Chromebook (I installed the govee app on my Chromebook) just fine, so its def a issue with the pixel 9 pro xl's bluetooth stack.
I did also add this as feedback through the pixel settings app but please resolve this as soon as possible kind request as this is quite annoying

Please use the same remote device(Pixel Buds Pro), and make sure the wifi and "Ultra Wide Band" are both disabled.
- Also need the exact distance at which Pixel 9 Pro XL is good but pixel 8 Pro is bad. Please provide the response information and the specific time when the problem occurred. Thanks
How you enable full snoop logging for Bluetooth:
- Enable Developer options on the device
- Go to Settings -> About
- Tap "Build number" a number of times until developer options are enabled
- In Settings --> System --> Developer options activate the Enable Bluetooth HCI snoop log toggle
- Restart Bluetooth for logging to take effect
After this repeat the steps that show the issue.

The range estimate for me is 15-20metres or so, but the Pixel 8 Pro was getting another 3-5metres on top of that, and started distorting/breaking up at a further distance than the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

2.59pm drop-out of range, pixel 8 Pro has another 5 odd metres. Other random dropouts 2m from device at 3.01pm

The firmware v176 is outdated.

Bluetooth range is about 50cm. Even in Pocket Problems occur. Deactivating uwb does Help, but should only be a workaround
