The Cloud Functions engineering team has indicated that Cloud Functions already automatically generate a basic set of trace data to help users measure timing and identify causes of latency in their functions. For more detailed tracing/logging, users can follow our public guides, e.g.
Description
- A background Cloud Function was triggered but finished with status: 'timeout'.
- However, there are no detailed execution logs between its last action and when it times out.
- This is a feature request for GCP to include more telemetry for Cloud Functions in order to determine their detailed executions in the future.
