What did you expect to happen?
Hello Google Team,
I would like to express my deep concern regarding the security feature of Google Pixel phones. It appears that there is a significant issue with the ability to power off the phone even when it is locked with a PIN or password. This vulnerability makes devices more susceptible to theft, as a thief can immediately power off the device, preventing the owner from tracking its location using the "Find My Device" feature.
I have a simple suggestion to improve device security: require the entry of a password or PIN before allowing the device to be powered off if it is locked. This step would significantly increase the chances of recovering lost or stolen devices and would prevent the tracking feature from being easily disabled.
I hope you consider this suggestion in upcoming Android updates, as it is not just a minor improvement but a crucial step towards enhancing user security and privacy.
I greatly appreciate your efforts in developing high-quality products and look forward to future improvements that will make our phones more secure.
Thank you
