This is not only useful for IP addresses, but also for many other resources. I understand that names are currently used as identifiers, so this request is probably not trivial to implement. Maybe distinguishing between a (numeric, automatically generated) identifier and a (textual) label is the way to go?

Is it any hope? We have migrated our IP address to the server with different role, and now the name of this IP address resource doesn't match its role at all. It seems to be trivial enough to momentary reserve static IP address of the old named resource, drop resource, and immediately recreate it with the new name and the old IP address.
Description
Please describe your requested enhancement. Good feature requests will solve common problems or enable new use cases.
Currently CUD analysis reports are calculated on an hourly basis and we need an aggregated CUD analysis report on a day basis instead of hourly calculation that is available on the CUD Analysis screen. We need an option to export a report with following details.
Date
Commitment type
Active Commitment
Total cost covered under commitment.
Eligible cost not covered under commitment.
Total cost at on-demand rates
Savings
Utilization %
Coverage %
Looking for these data points in our report which is currently not available on a day level granularity for a given date range.
What you would like to accomplish:
We need this data to be mapped to BI tool.
How this might work:
An export functionality in the CUD analysis screen or an API which is able to pull the above mentioned information.
If applicable, reasons why alternative solutions are not sufficient:
As per the case 53006890, We don't have an alternate solution.
Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc):
Please refer to the case comments of 53006890
We took the fields from attached screenshot where the calculations are for an hourly basis and we would need an aggregated CUD analysis report on a day basis.
